Distribution of the pulsed power plasma from the SparkAmp Modules to each firing cylinder requires wire connections that go from the SparkAmp module to the spark plug. But this alone is not sufficient to produce the plasma spark. The output of the SparkAmp module is triggered by the high-voltage spark created by a high voltage coil that is present with every spark ignited engine. The requirement is that the high-voltage spark signal and the high-current plasma signal have to mix right before the spark plug and manifest as a high energy plasma spark at the plug gap inside the cylinder.

This can be accomplished in two ways. Using Molded Plasma Ignition Cables or Diode Distribution Bricks

Molded RF Suppression Plasma Cables

The Molded RF Suppression Plasma cables are the latest in plasma automotive technology. Their design is optimal for easy installation and the design is the best solution to excessive RF and EMI noise that is rampant when zero resistance copper core ignition cables are used. The cable consists of two separate conductors, one carrying the high voltage energy from the distributor / coil, and the other carrying the high current plasma from the SparkAmp module. Both these conductors meet at the spark plug boot end where there is adequate high voltage (40 kV) and low voltage (5kV) protection so that upstream electronics are amply protected.

The SparkAmp Ignition Module is equipped with a fault indicator LED, which can be used to indicate if the molded plasma ignition cable is faulty.
